On March 1st at approximately 6:30 a.m. a Hot Spring County Deputy was passing by the Antioch Community Building when he noticed a white male, later identified as Buddy Jack New, 32, of Malvern, walking away from the rear of the building. While the deputy was identifying New, he was suspiciously looking toward the rear of the building. After confirming that New had a warrant for his arrest out of Hot Spring County, the deputy placed New into custody, as another deputy arrived on scene. The deputies checked the rear of the building and identified two garbage bags filled with items that were believed to have been removed from the building. A broken window was also discovered. The key holder of the building arrived and confirmed that items were missing from the building that matched the items found in the bags. A flag was also missing from the flagpole. An affidavit has been filed with the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for the charges of Breaking or Entering, a Class D Felony and Theft of Property, a Class A Misdemeanor. The subject was transported to the Hot Spring County Jail. |
