On May 3, 2014 an individual reported a vehicle stolen from an address on Mount Moriah Road. The vehicle was located, stuck in the mud, on Arkansas Forestry Service land. Confident that the subjects would return to attempt to recover the vehicle, Hot Spring County Detectives, working with the Arkansas Forestry Service, placed a GPS tracking device on the vehicle and waited for notification that the vehicle was moving.
On June, 18, 2014 at approximately 3:50 p.m., Detectives were notified that the device was tracking movement on the vehicle just east of Mount Moriah Road on Amity Road. The vehicle was located near Gunner Road, where three subjects were attempting to strip it down. John Fogle, 37, of Bonnerdale and Michael Morris, 36 of Bonnerdale were taken into custody on the scene. A third subject, identified as Dagan Turner, 43, of Hot Springs fled. After a foot pursuit with detectives and Arkansas Game and Fish Wildlife Officers, tracking dogs were dispatched. The tracking dogs attempted to locate the subject for several hours, but were unable to do so. Fogle and Morris were transported to the Hot Spring County Jail.
The case file will be turned over to the Hot Spring County Prosecutor’s Office to assess charges on these subjects. Thank you to all agencies that have been involved in this investigation.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of Dagan Turner (pictured above), please call the Hot Spring County Sheriff’s Department at 501-332-3671.
